Hostinger Email Forwarding: How to Forward Emails to Another Address

Email forwarding redirects incoming messages from one address to another. If someone emails hello@yourdomain.com and you have forwarding set up to your.name@gmail.com, the message arrives in Gmail as if sent directly there.

Forwarding is ideal for: solopreneurs who want a professional email address but prefer managing one inbox; businesses using catch-all routing to different team members; situations where you have a domain but no email hosting plan and want to avoid a monthly fee.

Step 1: Log into hPanel → Emails → Email Forwarders.

Step 2: Click 'Create Forwarder'. Enter the source address (e.g., info@yourdomain.com) and the destination address (e.g., yourname@gmail.com).

Step 3: Click Create. The forwarder is active immediately.

Step 4 (optional): To also send from your domain address via Gmail, go to Gmail → Settings → Accounts → Send mail as → Add your domain address using Hostinger's SMTP settings.

A catch-all address receives any email sent to your domain regardless of the prefix — even addresses you haven't explicitly created. If someone types heloo@yourdomain.com with a typo, catch-all ensures you still receive it.

To enable: hPanel → Emails → Email Forwarders → Default Address (Catch-All). Set the destination address. This is particularly useful for businesses that may have handed out various email addresses over the years and don't want to miss any messages.

Email aliases are additional addresses that deliver to the same mailbox without forwarding to an external account. Forwarding sends to an outside address. Aliases require an active email hosting account on Hostinger; forwarding can work at just the domain level.

Use aliases (info@, support@, sales@) when you have a Hostinger email account and want multiple addresses feeding one inbox. Use forwarding when you want domain email sent to Gmail, Outlook, or any external service.
